Any player knowingly using an aim bot is not worthy of respect for their "skill. Our Aimbot Settings are pretty straightforward. But if the aim assist is actually aim botting, no matter how small, I consider it inexcusable. It has been a noted issue that recent games focus more on giving players the false illusion of better more skilled than they actually are, and I figure the aim assist, bots, and ranking shenanigans are all about that. Doesn't matter whether the devs allow it or build it in the game, that just makes it a cheat code cheat instead of a hack cheat.Īim assistance that merely alters the sensitivity of the input is more of a grey area but I highly dislike it and regard it as a crutch for the weak. I consider it outright cheating for the computer to move the crosshairs independently, regardless of how small or large the effect. Then comes along this conversation in which the implication is that aim assist is actually an aim bot where the computer actively moves your crosshairs closer to target. Then there was the post you just mentioned, in which I stated in an exaggerated way my distaste for aim assist. Later, I started investigating the oddities of the game, and found info that the aim assist is indeed a change in the sensitivity of your inputs. I didn't know the details and at the time didn't care, though I suspected it was a sensitivity thing. I turned off aim assist when I installed the game. Ah, so it is a misunderstanding of my earlier post then.
